Terms of service
1. What this service is
The Worry Office is a digital novelty service for adults aged 18 or over. It issues personalised documents which record that a stated routine concern has been placed in the Office's notional care, once and for all. The Worry Office is not part of the government. We simply share its confidence in forms.
2. What this service is not
The service is not therapy, counselling, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, insurance, or an emergency service. It does not resolve, influence or affect any real situation, decision, person or outcome. Nothing supplied by the Office has legal effect.
3. Fee and what you receive
The Worry Office provides one personalised digital novelty product consisting of a unique case reference and PDF Worry Transfer Certificate. The service is complete when the certificate has been generated and delivered. The fee is £2.99 per matter. The same price applies whether the certificate is for the purchaser or a friend.
4. Matters the Office refuses
Submissions concerning self-harm, suicide, abuse, violence, criminal matters, legal proceedings, medical conditions, serious financial hardship, the welfare of children, or identifiable third parties are refused. Screening takes place before payment. Where such a matter is identified after payment, the fee is refunded in full and no documents are issued.
5. Digital content and cancellation
Documents are generated and supplied immediately on payment. By submitting Form WO-1 you request immediate supply and acknowledge that the statutory right to cancel digital content is lost once supply has begun. Where the Office fails to supply the documents, you are entitled to a full refund.
6. Transfers on behalf of another person
If you transfer a matter for a friend, you confirm they are an adult, that they would not object, and that the wording you supply is not offensive, distressing or identifying.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to harass, threaten or humiliate any person, to submit unlawful content, or to imply endorsement by any public authority. The Office may refuse or close any case and refund the fee at its discretion.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Office's liability is limited to the fee paid for the affected case. Nothing in these terms limits liability which cannot lawfully be limited. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
9. Your copy of the certificate
The certificate is delivered to the email address you supply, and the copy in that email is your permanent copy. There are no customer accounts and no ongoing monitoring, updates or further correspondence.
